How can I get rid of poison ivy?

Ok, I have poison ivy on my arms, face, and neck. I would like to know if there is a cheap, and quick way to get rid of it.
Answer:
First, wash the area as best you can with the strongest soap you can find (body acne soap is perfect) Second, Put a cool compress on the irritated area to relieve as much burning as possible. Then, take a bath with baking soda (5 c.) in the cool water, but no soap hat might irritate your skin. After the bath, make a paste of Epsom salts or baking soda and water and apply it to the sores. Buy a lotion that contains zinc acetate, alcohol, or calamine, aand apply before bed to harden the scabs a nd speed healing. Leave the rash open to the air, so the skin can breathe and renew itself. Do NOT scratch, or apply a topical pain killer. These will spread the rash, and may even cause a new rash. Tylenol, or Ib Profrin can be taken every 4-6 hours with food as needed.
What ever you do-Don't scratch it...it will make it spread even more. You can get something over the counter at the drugstore.
you're gonna need an ocean of calamine lotion
put unscented deodorant on it. this will dry it up. by all means though, dont scratch it. wash all of your clothes and sheets in hot water and switch towels after each shower.
Hydrocortisone cream (also sold as Cortaid) will usually work, so will Benadryl cream ...I think it's also available in a spray and a clear gel. I've heard that you can moisten a cotton ball with peroxide and wipe (carefully) on the spots and that will help dry them up. Any of these will take a few days (maybe 3 or 4), but they should help. You might check at www.webmd.com for other suggestions. Just type "poison ivy" in the search box.
ok i have poisen ivy a lot...whatever u do DON'T TOUCH IT!! if u do touch it then touch another part of ur body it will spread 2 that part, anyway.. get some benadrill anti itch crap and put it on that..it feels cold but dont rub it in with ur hand use a cotton ball or cue tip it. keep doin that every day and it will go away in like 2-3 days! good luck!! :)
