Some clinicians doubt the existence of this syndrome.
Ask your doctor about it.
Chronic fatigue syndrome is defined as long-standing, severe, disabling fatigue without demonstrable muscle weakness. Underlying disorders that could explain the fatigue are absent. Depression, anxiety, and other psychologic diagnoses are typically absent. Treatment is rest and psychologic support, often including antidepressants.
Please see the web pages for more details on Chronic fatgue syndrome.
There is no real test for it. It is something your doctor will determine as to your symptoms and the tests that he takes compared to your symptoms. It has many symptoms
The best specialist for testing this illness is a Neuro Doc or a Radiologist, both know best how to test for the systems of this strange illness. But many may require a referral from your regular doctor, so ask around. Most insurance companies will not accept a special doctor unless it is from your regular doctor that thinks you need to see him or she. Just make sure your bases are covered money wise before seeing your specialist...you will need that full insurance coverage because there will be many test but worth every penny if you can get help.Good luck and better health,
Emily
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-22520414471278330532010-05-25T22:08:00.000-07:002010-05-25T22:08:03.777-07:00How can i get sick fast?well i really need to get sick beacuse i cant go to school beacuse its like i hate that school and there only a few days left and i really need to not go and my mom wont let me miss school un less im really sick
Answer:
Go to Tijuana and drink the water!! nm
Tough it out.
Hahah oh boy.Take a laxative? It will make you need to go to the toilet (#2) for a good while.. and just say you must have some virus.
Drink six gallons of bleach. You'll never have to go to school again.
Suck it up for the last few days..but if your desperate..drink hot water and have your mom take your temperature..
hahaha wow umm get around sick ppl and breathe in their germs and sneezes ahahaha
look in the mirror
whats a few more days gonna do?!! just ditch! it has less consequences than making yourself ill and putting your health at risk!
the fastest and most guarranteed way to be sick is dehydration. That would be...don't drink enough water when its hot and you get sick, heat stroke and pass out. I do not recommend it. I was sick-sick, throwing up and became dehydrated last year and got an IV and medicine after a couple days. Not recommended. What you need to do is fake being sick because if you are really sick you'll be miserable. The other thing is eating bad food and getting food poisoning, but your kidneys could fail for either one of these. I do not recomend either. Just try to stick with it for a couple more days
Hey try this it works peel of the onion %26 put it in your armpit for 5 -10 minutes you will get fever if you want high fever put it for 30 minutes
You know, there are soooo many people in this world who are dying of being sick, thier only wish in to not be sick. You must have a truely sick mind if you actually want to get sick.
in the morning before school stick your finger down your throat and gag yourself till you throw up all over your bedroom
stand on your head for 10 minutes, smell 2 dog farts, and wash your hair in the toilet. Or, if your silly enough to beleive any of these suggestions, I suggest you spend more time in school.
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-3657579411671698042010-05-25T22:07:00.003-07:002010-05-25T22:07:46.996-07:00How can I get rid on sinus drainage without medication?Im going on a trip and im leaving in one week so it needs to be gone by then..Im gonna be camping
Answer:
Nasal irrigation is what the poster was trying to remember. Its flushing your sinuses with saline solution. The device is called a Netti Pot. Google nasal irrigation or Netti Pot. Its really helpful for people with sinus problems.
use a homemade remedy=put hot water in a bowl and a towel and your head over top of it to get the steam=this should drain out the phlegm
There is a special thing you can buy to clear your sinus passages. I saw it on Oprah a few weeks ago (don't laugh). I don't remember the name of it, but it looks like a little teapot and works awesome to flush everything out.
I take a cup and put warm water and 1-2 tsp of salt til it disolves. Then you can take either a big one of those snot sucker syringe bulb thingys for babies and force the water up your sinuses or you can just put it in your hand plug one side and sniff really hard. Do it a few times and a while later it will drain and feel so much better!! The salt helps draw out infection and also to dry it up. Seems like it would hurt but it doesn't
There is a saline spray you can buy over the counter. You can also use Oscillococcinum, buy it at any drug store or health food store, it is for the flu but is good for any cold type symtoms including allergy. I take 3 dots instead of the whole vial since this is how my homeopathic doctor told me to take it. I also take drops under the tongue for allergies. These you can get a some health food stores and online. I get mine from my homeopathic doctor.Diane
chicken noodle soup
or
really spicy foods like mexican foodthat is what I learned in health ; )
It's called a netti pot and you can buy them at health food strores. it's like a mini flower pot. all you do is mix a bit of salt since our body like natural healers (good for cuts as well, better than creams you buy in drug store..those kill off the good cells you need in your body to heal. so mix the salt into warm water. When you have it in the netti pot, you tip your head to the side, pour in one side of your nose and it will come out the other, then repeat on the other side! This works for any kind of headache above your eyes and pressure under your eyes..using the netti pot it relieves pressure since you are flushing the bad stuff out!! Good Luck!!
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-87863984387626752592010-05-25T22:07:00.002-07:002010-05-25T22:07:31.370-07:00How can i get rid of water blisters/bubbles?
Answer:
you can choose to either let them heal on their own, or drain them yourself. If the blisters are not obtrusive it’s best to let them heal on their own as puncturing the outer layer of skin will create an open wound and increase the likelihood of infection. If your skin blister is large and/or painful, and you choose to drain the fluid - take care to leave the outer skin intact. Follow these steps carefully in order to help your blister heal faster and continue to protect it.Clean the blister with rubbing alcohol or antibacterial soap.
Sterilize a straight or safety pin by using pliers to hold it over a flame until the pin glows red and then allowing it to cool.
Using the pin, puncture a small hole in the base of the blister.
Using GENTLE pressure, drain the blister.
Apply an antibiotic ointment to the area like Bacitracin and Polymyxin B – triple antibiotic ointment. Avoid products containing neomycin as this is more likely to cause an allergic reaction.
Cover the area with an absorbent, non-stick bandage and change it daily. You may need to change it more often if it becomes wet, dirty, or loose.
In the event that the blister forms a small tear in the outer skin, treat it in the same way as if you had punctured it using the above steps. If the tear is larger, “un-roof” the blister by carefully removing the loose skin with sterilized scissors. Then cleanse the base of the blister with antibacterial soap and water, and apply antibiotic ointment and a bandage as described in steps 5 and 6 above.
Don't try to pop them. It will make it worse. The water in the blister is there because what ever caused you to get it in the first place burnt your skin in some way (wheather it be friction or just fire) and the water is there to cool it off and prevent more burning or heat. Just leave it alone for a couple days and it will disappear on it's own. If you try to get the water out it will scar and hurt really bad!
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-76041454918374129692010-05-25T22:07:00.001-07:002010-05-25T22:07:15.913-07:00How can i get rid of under eye dark circles?
Answer:
Sleep or cold spoons from the freezer=)
a vitamin K supplement will help or a vitamin K cream under the eyes and night and plently of sleep altho in some cases amount of sleep has nothing to do with dark circles also watch your sugar intake too much sugar can cause dark circles under the eyes
buy an eye lightening cream, the good ones start at $40
it instantly will lighten your eye dark circles,
they have tiny sprinkles that make your skin shimmer
if you apply it twice daily you should see an improvement if you were born with them
there's not much you can do
unless you see your dermatologist
who'll reccommend something priceybut if you keep the skin soft and moisturized, and wrinkle free, it should not look so bad
Dark circles can treated with regular and gentle care. Cover your eyes with cotton soaked in lukewarm milk for 15 minutes everyday to remove the dark circles around your eyes or dip cotton pads into freshly extracted mint juice, flatten them and place them on closed eyelids for 10 to 15 minutes. Check out http://useinfo-darkcircles.blogspot.com/... for more info.
There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.
http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11...
If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26 stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26 let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26 Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.
http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2007/01...To hide dark circles, you can use YSL concealer or salmon concealer..http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com... .. tips on how to reduce dark circles, the causes of dark circles, home remedies, eye creams reviews, make up tips, and natural healer.
sleep well, use tea bags on them ,put them daily as much as you can ,thet will help
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-45326124814894753672010-05-25T22:07:00.000-07:002010-05-25T22:07:00.159-07:00How can I get rid of this Viral Infection?I have been sick for 1 week and 1 day. It started with freezing and high fever then went to sore throat and fever. and then the fever quit and the sore throat quit... Now all i have is swollen sore gums and jaw. I can't eat solid foods. and I have lost so much wait because of it. I look horrible. How can i get better faster? A big camping trip is coming up this weekend and I need to go. Anything that will help me be able to chew and swallow my food? I have tried gargling salt water and peroxide and they both don't work. any help will save me?
Answer:
Sounds like you have a sinus infection. That will cause your gums and jaw to swell up. You need to go to the doctor again to make sure it is still viral. An infection will require antibiotics. Also, you want to make sure you don't have any immune system deficiency that is causing you to not get better sooner. Other than that, here are a couple suggestions:a) Are you taking a decongestant and antihistamine? If you are able, you might try that. It will halt the production of all that ****, and help it to remain thin so you can blow your nose or cough it up.b) Take extra vitamin C if you are not doing so. You can get these in the form of a cough drop that you just suck so you won't need to chew it. Also, zinc and echinacea are helpful to healing faster. You can take airborne which provides those ingredients in a liquid form as well.c) Getting nutrition is critical to healing. Get vegetable soups with broths that you can drink. Drink an ensure if necessary. And drink tons of clear fluid (water, ginger ale, etc.) to ensure hydration.d) Be sure to get plenty of rest. Sitting here on your computer is okay for an hour here and there, but try to actually sleep when you are able. Your body does most of its healing while you are asleep.Good luck, and I hope you are feeling better in time for your camping trip.
if you have a virus, you will be sick until your body gets over it. period. there is no drug or tonic that you can take that will speed up the process. you are going to have to just hang up on the camping weekend - if you do go, and are still having ANY symptoms, you will be contagious and will make all of your fellow campers sick with the exact virus you have had. you don't "need" to go on any camping trip - what you "need" is to rest and recuperate, and not get everyone else sick with your virus. unless, of course, you are just selfish enough to only care about your own wants, and not the good health of your friends... which i don't really think you are...
It sounds like an infection. Go see a doctor. You probabbly need a prescription for penecilian or an amoxacillian. Its important to get it checked in case you've got something worse going on, you'd hate to ignore something like cancer.Get treatment, and good luck. Hope you feel better!
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-21079342175743254132010-05-25T22:06:00.002-07:002010-05-25T22:06:43.017-07:00How can i get rid of these things?!!?i hav three little red dots on my chin.
and they arent pimples.
they are just little red spots and i dont know what they are or how to get rid of them.
please help me!!
10 points to the suggestion that works the best!! :D :D
Answer:
I've had those. I sugggest Washing the sheets and bedding and pillowcase on your bed. The tiny bugs that bit you. They will go away in a few days.
I don't know if that's your birthmark I would suggest laser or see a dermatologist. If they are just mosquito bites they will go away If they are hickey they will go away by themselves
Are they flat or raised? Because if they are flat they may be a rash of some kind or a skin infection. If they are raised they are probably a bug bite or pimples...even though you said they aren't. If they don't go away in a couple of days I would go see a dermotologist and get a cream or something. Good luck
okay remain calm. they could be a. bug bites b. pimples(possibly) c. an allerigic recation of some sort. most likely c. first wash off your face and apply a cool compress to your chin. it will reduce the swelling then put a hot compress on it to reduce the redness. if all else fails put a little make up on them.
It sounds like the red dots are most likely busted blood vessels. You can see your dermatologist about laser treatment to have then removed, but laser treatment can be pricey and there is no guarantee that they will not come back.
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-8826292732168519072010-05-25T22:06:00.001-07:002010-05-25T22:06:28.334-07:00How can i get rid of the the black spots on my face?i have acne on my face and i have already started treatment to reduced my acne but i want to know if i can get back my smooth and spotless face by your help, pls help me out!
Answer:
Black spots - blackheads?Usually people think that black spots are some kind of dirt that can be washed away. But sadly blackheads are something else. Pores are partially open so sebum (oil) still gets drained to the surface. But what caused the dark color is oxygen reaction with skin pigment. So it's not dirt.Keep on with your treatment and it will go away in time, but don't expect it to happen fast. From my experiance ClearPores does a very good job with any forms of acne, specially blackheads, here is their website:
http://www.clearpores.com/clicks/clickth...Other than that, your skin needs time. Patience don't get stressed over it too much, stress also causes acne, so basically, the less you think about it, the better ;)Wish you all the best!
You need a long-term treatment.Acne need poly-therapy ; antibiotics because of infection, retinodies remedies, cosmetic treatment- peeling ( fluid nitrogen ), cleansing preparation, hygiene of face...
pick your blackheads out with a bobby pin it really works
the end of the bobby pin the circular shaped part. press in and usually a long white yellow string should pop out of your face and u have it!
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-49942404284218311012010-05-25T22:06:00.000-07:002010-05-25T22:06:11.616-07:00How can I get rid of the swelling in my ankles and calves along with the redness?I have taken water pills, started walking and drinking a lot of water...I can't go to the doc, no insurance and the little busted capillaries are soooo red and ugly.HELP!!!
Answer:
Here is an article I found.
Please go to a low income clinic, yes they have them. You can ask a doc to see you pro bono, sometimes they say yea. Anyway I take a pill that cost 2.40 (full cost before insurance) and it does the job. But you need a prescription. It may be the water pill you talked about. It takes a week to work. Get insurance, look on line.
Lay down on the floor with you legs up on the couch for about 20 mins. aday. Hiccups typically are harmless and go away after a few minutes. Rarely, hiccups may persist for days or even weeks. When this occurs, they can interfere with eating and sleeping. In a few instances, persistent hiccups can be a sign of a serious underlying disorder.Hiccups are caused by involuntary contractions of your diaphragm 鈥?the muscle that separates your chest from your abdomen and plays an important role in breathing. This involuntary contraction causes your vocal cords to close very briefly, which produces the characteristic sound of a hiccup.Often, there may be no obvious cause for hiccups. But possible causes include:Irritation to the nerves that control normal contractions of the diaphragm 鈥?such as due to eating hot or spicy foods or drinking carbonated liquids.
Eating a large meal. Hiccups are more likely to occur when your stomach is full.
Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol
Smoking
Sudden excitement or emotional stress
There is no one proven cure for the hiccups. Different things may work at different times and for different people. Anecdotal evidence suggests that the following hiccup remedies may be effective:Holding your breath
Slowly drinking a cold glass of water
Breathing into a paper bag
Eating a spoonful of sugar
Having someone startle you
Gently massaging the back of the roof of your mouth with a cotton swab for a minute or so
If your hiccups last longer than 48 hours, consult your doctor. In some cases of prolonged hiccups, prescription medications may help.
They will probably stop soon. Good idea to quit drinking and go to bed. That usually only happens when you've had enough.
by drinking WATER in one HUGE gulp. it forces w/e is stuck in ur thought to open and releases w/e is stuck
EAT!...no water..just EAT!
stop drinking
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-59510546173744788562010-05-25T22:05:00.001-07:002010-05-25T22:05:24.031-07:00How can I get rid of the Brown spots from my face?I am a fair man of 30. I am currently using a Avon skin lightener thats working for me, but you have to stay out the sun to keep them from coming back.
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-70730994821215805942010-05-25T22:05:00.000-07:002010-05-25T22:05:09.601-07:00How can I get rid of the black dots on my legs?
Answer:
stop shaving. Then they'll just be black hairs
get a better razor
Using the same color as the dots, fill in all of the lighter areas to make urself uniform. Removing surface oils allows the benzoyl peroxide to penetrate more easily. Washing very gently helps avoid irritation. While scientists and doctors do not know exactly what causes acne, we do know that irritation alone can make it worse. Benzoyl peroxide oxygenates skin. Acne bacteria cannot live in oxygenated environments. Benzoyl peroxide is also a mild drying and peeling agent which is thought to help keep pores from clogging. On the Regimen you'll be using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide because clinical studies have shown it is just as effective as 5% and 10% but much less irritating. Remember, irritation alone can aggravate acne. I found that using lots of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide is incredibly effective. Why apply so much? Nobody knows for sure why this works so amazingly well but myself and thousands of others have had great success using this method. My theory is that applying more simply allows it to penetrate more deeply into the skin. Because you'll be using lots of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, your skin will most likely be dry and a little flaky. Applying a good moisturizer will help keep your skin in balance and allow you to go out into public with non-flaky, normal looking skin.
try using body wash meant for that purpose. I know for a fact that neutrogina makes a body wash that is for body acne, my sister used to used it and it worked pretty good for her, I'm sure that other brands like say Clearasil or Noxzema make a body wash as well. The trick is to let the soap suds sit on your skin for a bit so the benzoyl treatment can work. Also try to find a aftercare lotion you can apply! I'm sure whatever brand wash you buy will have a aftercare lotion to use. Also getting some sun can help with the acne, my brothers always clears up faster if he Gets some sun shine on his skin!
Old wives tale known to work for some people.
Buy 14 small packages of bakers yeast. Take half of a package in the morning half at night in a medium size glass of warm water. Crush the yeast in the glass very carefully.
Should start to see results at about the 12/13 day. Seeing results continue on for the month and then stop for awhile.
Read an article on back and body acne below :- What Causes Back Acne And How, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/back-acne-wha...- Body acne, Question And Answer, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/body-acne-que...- Body Acne Guide, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/body-acne-gui...- Acne Guide, Your Guide On Body Acne, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/acne-guide-yo...Hope this helps.
Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. I have never burned before. If I stayed out in the sun too long, all I get is more tan skin. Is there some way to get rid of the tan? I like white soft skin like my friends.
Answer:
I'm like you, but I enjoy being tan all the time. However, if you don't, just wear sunscreen, at least SPF 30. And to get rid of a tan faster, use a bath poufe and exfoliate so your skin flakes off faster.
the answer is do not go out in the sun
ask michael jackson
GET RID OF IT?!!
Haha...I'm the one who'd trying to get one!! Stretch marks can be reduced significantly with the treatment to a point where they are no longer visible.
loose the baby belly as soon as possible after the birth of course good luck and enjoy your new little bundle of fun
Tan. I've done everything to get rid of them and so has my son; he got fattish when he was 10 years old but still has the stretch marks. Don't waste your money on any creams. They are a waste of time.
I've heard the cocoa butter lotion or cream can lesson stretch marks, but I don't think anything will permanently get rid of them. Consult your dermatologist as well.
cocoa butter lotion has helped me in the past with stretch marks
If you have stretch marks on your tummy there is not a thing, besides a tummy tuck to rid yourself of that skin altogether, that will make the stretch marks disappear.I am in my 50's and have had stretch marks since I was a late teen. The doctor's tell me that your skin stretches from the inside out. It is sort of like a tear. No cream could possibly make that disppear. I have tried the cocoa butter and all the other tricks. It's a lost cause.So...unless you want them surgically removed...there is no way, I know of, to rid yourself of these unwanted marks.
dont worry about them, i pointed mine out to my boyfriend the other day and said they were barely noticeable and i was still beutifull to him it is highly likely your other half will think the same of you ! %26lt;3
best thing i know of to reduce the appearance of stretchmarks is bio oil, also good for scars too. it costs(i think) 拢8.95 from all good pharmacies
iv heard that Bio-Oil, is good for stretch marks and scars, its about nine pounds from chemist shop, but it doesn't get rid of them, i don't think there is anything that can really get rid of stretch marks,
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-8047182578551575442010-05-25T22:04:00.000-07:002010-05-25T22:04:04.325-07:00How can i get rid of spots on my laps?I have had dark spots on my laps for long time now. i tried using soaps to get rid of them but they are still there and because of this i can't were a mini skirt or even a bikini. Please i need someone to hint me on what to do.
Answer:
That could be some kind of blackheads or partially clogged pores. Those are stable structures that can be there for years. Usually people think this is some kind of dirt in pores and can be washed away but let me tell you exactly what it is...Pores are partially open so they don't get completely clogged to cause acne. But why it gets dark? Because skin pigment reacts with oxygen and the skin directly in the pores and around gets dark and leaves dark spots...The perfect solution for this is ClearPores, you can find their website here: http://www.clearpores.com/clicks/clickth...You can order directly from the website. It will help but it won't happen just over night, give it some time. But I don't think it would be a problem if you had it for years and give it a few weeks now to go away...If you chose to try it, be sure to order BODY system not facial.Hope this helped...
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-42728827937376080762010-05-25T22:03:00.002-07:002010-05-25T22:03:46.877-07:00How can i get rid of scars or at least enlighten it?i kinda have a huge scar thats forming i think and i wanna try to get rid of it...any suggestions? :)
Answer:
Try rubbing pure Vitamin E on your scars. I have a lot of scars on my legs and they heal so slowly so I just get put the gel tab Vitamin E and use a pin to open the gel tab and then squirt the vitamin E wherever the scars are and rub it reall y good into my skin. Be warned though: Vitamin E feels really sticky but the feling goes away after about 15 minutes. If you do this every day you should see some results in about 2 weeks.
I have tried a lot of other products that promise to do away with scars or bruises like Vitamin K products but tthey don't work for me. Also Coco Butter is pretty good for getting rid of scars but I find that tthe Vitamin E works the best.
Good luck :D
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-82509461449147317912010-05-25T22:03:00.001-07:002010-05-25T22:03:31.833-07:00How can i get rid of Rosacea and Keratosis Pilaris?i have rosy cheeks with little rough bumps.i also have little bumps on my upper legs upper arms and butt.some look like pimples and scar.im pretty sure these are the symptoms.what now??
Answer:
oh, man, that's what it's called. I think I have that too. I use hydrocortizone, you can get it at any drug store. It helps. Maybe it's the same thing. Hope I helped.
I think lotions with lactic acid are supposed to help the KP, or that alpha-hydroxy stuff.
see a dermatologist and he will give you metro cream,%26 tetracycline and it will lessen in time
My son has keratosis very bad. I took him to a dermatologist - he has to use Dove unscented, Unscented detergent in the wash, Cetaphil cream for his skin along with a prescription cream. Keratosis is actually extremely dry skin - a precursor to eczema... you probably do not have rosacea on your face it's keratosis pilaris - go to a dermatologist.
Using the products above has helped his skin tremendously.
p.s. Cetaphil cream is expensive - but it is over the counter...
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-85327825111313612512010-05-25T22:03:00.000-07:002010-05-25T22:03:15.858-07:00How can I get rid of poison ivy?Ok, I have poison ivy on my arms, face, and neck. I would like to know if there is a cheap, and quick way to get rid of it.
Answer:
First, wash the area as best you can with the strongest soap you can find (body acne soap is perfect) Second, Put a cool compress on the irritated area to relieve as much burning as possible. Then, take a bath with baking soda (5 c.) in the cool water, but no soap hat might irritate your skin. After the bath, make a paste of Epsom salts or baking soda and water and apply it to the sores. Buy a lotion that contains zinc acetate, alcohol, or calamine, aand apply before bed to harden the scabs a nd speed healing. Leave the rash open to the air, so the skin can breathe and renew itself. Do NOT scratch, or apply a topical pain killer. These will spread the rash, and may even cause a new rash. Tylenol, or Ib Profrin can be taken every 4-6 hours with food as needed.
What ever you do-Don't scratch it...it will make it spread even more. You can get something over the counter at the drugstore.
you're gonna need an ocean of calamine lotion
put unscented deodorant on it. this will dry it up. by all means though, dont scratch it. wash all of your clothes and sheets in hot water and switch towels after each shower.
Hydrocortisone cream (also sold as Cortaid) will usually work, so will Benadryl cream ...I think it's also available in a spray and a clear gel. I've heard that you can moisten a cotton ball with peroxide and wipe (carefully) on the spots and that will help dry them up. Any of these will take a few days (maybe 3 or 4), but they should help. You might check at www.webmd.com for other suggestions. Just type "poison ivy" in the search box.
ok i have poisen ivy a lot...whatever u do DON'T TOUCH IT!! if u do touch it then touch another part of ur body it will spread 2 that part, anyway.. get some benadrill anti itch crap and put it on that..it feels cold but dont rub it in with ur hand use a cotton ball or cue tip it. keep doin that every day and it will go away in like 2-3 days! good luck!! :)
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964340919216347010.post-40224693207602467762010-05-25T22:02:00.003-07:002010-05-25T22:02:59.729-07:00How can i get rid of pimples overnight?Prom is tomorrow and i broke out with three new pimples today. I need to get rid of them fast!
Answer:
clean and clear, clear pimple lotion treatment.
My wife has this goo that she was perscribed by a dermotologist that zaps the lil buggers in a night, but I don't for the life of me know what its called
You can't, just use coverup
I say you should put toothpaste on the pimples!Okay?
pop them ^.^
I say toothpaste too!!
Old "jailhouse" trick.
Clean %26 Clear Advantage Ace Spot Treatment worked great for me. You can buy it at local drug stores. ( Walgreens, Wal-Mart.. etc. ) Some facial masks work too. Massage the paste in a circular motion (not too hard, you don't want to abrade the skin!) over the affected areas to slightly exfoliate. Then, let the paste sit for about 30 seconds, rinse off and pat dry. Do this each night. For my son's very oily and football/baseball-sweat aggravated acne we switch the sugar to salt.
I can honestly tell you that he notices improvement the very first morning when he does this.
Hope this helps! At least it's not expensive to try : )
Erythromycin
ProActive!! It really works wonders. Good Luck
I know what your going through as I get breakouts often. I tried everything you could order online and over the counter. Nothing worked. Since my face was getting to be terrible I went to a dermatologist. She gave me two things and they were miracles! The first I use in the morning and it is called Duac. The second thing I use at night is called Diffrin. This stuff is amazing. Now, if your acne is not that severe yet, a great thing to use is clearasil ultra face wash/scrub. If it is a little worse, try Proactiv. Be careful though, your skin can get used to Proactiv and later on ignore it. Remember wash your face daily with hot water. It opens up the pores so you can clean them out which helps get rid of pimples. Good luck!
Well if i were u i would start washin my face everyday with a face cleaner then i would try not to touch my hands on my face and keep my hair pulled back
i had that problem. what i did was wash my face with warm soap and water, then wash off the soap with cool water. and it does help alot to drink alot more water. washer cleans your insides out. your body is made up of alot of water. its telling you to drink more water aswell. i have been their
If you have only a few pimples - you should treat them individually and not use harsh products on your entire face (as that can lead to drying and irritation, which can make your skin worse over time)If the problem is wide spread - I would suggest consulting a dermatologist. Often, acne isnt caused by improper face cleansing - but by hormonal problems, stress, or vitamin deficiencies. Here is an article on acne treatments that might help:http://www.associatedcontent.com/article...
Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. (smile)
Mhmmm.. sounds like you're doing everything perfectly! Try using over the counter products. I used Proactive, it was a waste of my money. But now I use avenno, which is sooo good for my skin. now problems whatsoever. but look around and see what worsk best for you. Also, have you tired working out? E.g running etc.. that may help too..
I used to have really bad acne and would use every acne treatment around. Then I started washing 2x a day with cetaphil facial cleanser for normal to oily skin and nothing else. I totally cleared up and now if i get blemishes i just spot treat with oxy vanishing (i think that's what its called) it has a large % of benzoil peroxide. Try it! I've used Proactive, seen the dermatologist who put me on antibiotics, expensive dermalogica products, regular facials, EVERYTHING!! The cetaphyl works the best!! It's so gentle and cheap!! Also, drinks lots and lots of water!
avoid sweetes and fatty foods
try salycylic acid. visit your dermatologist.
wash your face with st ives every morning and night. after every wash put hydrocortisone cream on four face. results may not happen as soon as you want them to, matter what you decide to use. everyone is different.
Acne and pimples is one of the most distressing and depressing problems faced mostly by youngsters. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on pimples. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/... for more useful info.
I feel your pain. I suffered from acne for a long time. First wash your face with a mild cleanser containing salicylic acid. Dry your face with a fresh towel. You should change your towel often. In the morning apply a light moisturizer, one for acne prone skin. Sounds crazy, but your skin needs moisture because acne products dry it out. Onr to try is LA Roche Posay. Find it on the interent. Don not wash your face again until nighttime. Washing more than twice per day aggravates the condition. Never use harsh abrasive cleansers on your face. They will irritate your skin. At night after washing apply a thin layer of persa gel 10. You can buy this in the drugstore over the counter. This should help you. However if your acne is severe I recommend going to the doctor.
Takakohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17301136707357753016noreply@blogger.com0
